Upper St. Clair Kitchen Remodel Project
When it comes to designing a space that is both functional and visually stunning, it’s all about the details. This Upper St. Clair Kitchen Remodel is a prime example of how thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship come together to create a kitchen that’s as practical as it is beautiful.
Layout Strategy
In this project, our primary goal was to blend the kitchen and casual dining areas seamlessly. The layout strategy focused on opening up a previously thin and confined space by adding windows, bringing in an abundance of natural light and creating a more inviting and spacious atmosphere. This approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also improves the functionality of the space, making it perfect for both everyday meals and entertaining guests.
Cabinetry:
Brand: NFP
For the cabinetry, we opted for a combination of finishes to add depth and interest to the space. The range wall features the elegant MDF Lancaster door in a crisp, low-sheen white. This choice provides a clean, classic look that serves as a perfect backdrop for the kitchen’s more vibrant elements.
On the bar wall, we chose the Maple Lancaster door in a sophisticated Cyberspace stain with a 30% sheen. This rich, dark finish contrasts beautifully with the white cabinetry, adding a touch of drama and luxury to the room.
To further elevate the design, we included the MDF Lancaster door in Loyal Blue with a low sheen. This bold, deep blue adds a pop of color that is both trendy and timeless, giving the kitchen a unique personality.
Countertops
Countertops play a crucial role in the kitchen’s design, offering both practicality and beauty. For the range and island, we selected Silestone’s Pearl Jasmine in a suede finish. This quartz surface is known for its durability and low maintenance, making it ideal for busy kitchen environments. Its subtle, elegant veining adds a touch of sophistication without overpowering the space.
For the bar area, we went with Absolute Black granite. Its sleek, polished surface provides a striking contrast to the lighter elements in the kitchen, creating a balanced and harmonious look.
The island also features a John Boos Walnut countertop with an oiled finish. This warm, natural wood surface adds an organic element to the design, enhancing the kitchen’s overall aesthetic and providing a perfect spot for casual dining or food preparation.
Lighting
Under Cabinet Lighting: Hafele
Lighting is key to creating an inviting and functional kitchen. We installed Hafele under-cabinet lighting to ensure that every inch of the countertop is well-lit and ready for use. This high-quality lighting solution not only improves visibility but also adds a warm, welcoming glow to the space, enhancing its overall ambiance.
Hardware
Brand: Hafele – Naples: Satin Nickel Finish
The finishing touches in any kitchen design are the hardware elements. For this project, we chose Hafele’s Naples collection in a satin nickel finish. These sleek, contemporary handles and knobs provide a perfect complement to the cabinetry, adding a touch of elegance and ensuring ease of use.
Conclusion
The Upper St. Clair Kitchen Remodel showcases the perfect blend of form and function. By combining a thoughtful layout strategy with high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship, we’ve created a space that is both beautiful and practical. Whether you’re preparing a meal for your family or hosting a dinner party, this kitchen is designed to meet all your needs with style and sophistication.
