Ed Fotta

I started at AML in December 2014.

My career in the Lumber Yard Industry started back in 1991 at HOP lumber in Wexford, where I started as a Yard Grunt. During which time I perfected the basic skills and knowledge of the industry that advanced me to Assistant Yard Foreman and then on to Yard foreman/Dispatcher. At the same time, I was able to attain my Associates Degree in Business at The Sawyer Business School of Pittsburgh. I have also held positions as a Counter Salesperson, Inventory Control Specialist, Purchaser, and a Store Manager. But through my 30 plus years in the Lumber Yard Industry and all the different positions I’ve held, I have come to realize that my current position as The Receiving Manager at AML is the most rewarding, not only because it satisfies my enjoyment of physical labor and working outside, but it also requires me to use all the skills and knowledge that I have gained throughout the years.
